Can you believe all the fabulous products TimHoltz brought us this year? I LOVE everything and they are all on my wish list. I was so very lucky to get two each of his seasonal distress ink packages so I would love to share with you. I have one each of Fall 2011 and Winter 2011 to give away. I am trusting you to only comment IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE THESE. This is for my followers that were not able to get them because they could not afford them. I will draw a winner based on these rules November 19th for each set and you can win twice!! Good luck my friends!

If you say Happy 12th Birthday to Tiana at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/tianabishop you will get another chance to win. Tiana has cancer.  She may be getting her Angel Wings soon (although we are praying for a miracle) and I want her to have a million birthday wishes.

Princess Madison

Hello Everyone,

I know...long time no posts from me. I am back! This is the first thing I have created in SO LONG! I was having withdrawals for sure. This is my one and only Grandchild....so far but I still have hopes for more:) This little princess is really the best person. She is kind, sweet, thoughtful, smart, wonderful, beautiful..I could go on. She turned 3 this year and my daughter and her husband's family went to Disney World to celebrate. She received a princess makeover and got to meet and take pictures with the Disney Princesses. I created this castle album for her. Very girly with tons of bling, pearls, laces, etc. Please let me know what you think.

Simon Says Stamp and Show Some Hands!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing great! Did you have a good Easter? We did. It is very difficult for me to go anywhere for a holiday. I love having holidays at my house with all of our long traditions. Well, this Easter kind of crept up on me and I was totally unprepared. My youngest daughter is too old for the Easter bunny and my oldest daughter, husband and Maddie were at the in-laws. They normally have an Easter lunch and than they come over to our house. So I let them know that I would not be having a dinner. I know, horrible. Anyways Amber's wonderful in-laws invited us over and I said yes! Amber almost had a heart attack. I figured it was a good day to shock her:) It was wonderful, great food and great people.

Yesterday I woke up to the news about Osama. I admit I was a little happy to hear the news. I then read the newest challenge from Simon says and my tag was created. I just had to put it together. I was thinking about using a peace sign with an actual sign but the clock covered the hands part. Please let me know what you think of my tag.

Everything used other than the fibers is Tim Holtz. I will need to add the products used later on. Thanks so much for looking.

My CCC Tag Book

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are having a fabulous and creative weekend. It has been a busy weekend getting caught up on some work, laundry, grocery shopping etc. I did carve out some time to get inky though. I created a book awhile back to house all my tags in that I did for the CC challenges. The book turned out OK but I was not happy with the thickness and the fact that it would not hold all the tags. Yesterday I made a new book. This book has five rings and I made it so that the tags could over lap. It fits every single one of my tags and is not overly bulky at all. I have not decorated it yet. I need to figure out how I am going to cut the end of it first before I do that. I used Grungeboard for the front and back covers. Just glued two pieces together. I knew that I wanted to use one of Tim's edge dies on it but I thought I would cover it first...wrong! Now it is too big to go into the machine. Oh well, I will figure something out. Any ideas for me? I thought about rolling it over but it is too thick for that. Anyway. I used the new Kraft resist from Tim and also the Distress stains. Please take a look and let me know what you think of it and any suggestions on the ends.

Also need to get working on my Oz Scarecrow ATC. I pretty much have those figured out how I am going to do them. Please let me know what you think of my late and final CCC tag.

The flower is my rusted grunge. I will add the products I used to make this tomorrow.

I'm not sure what yet but it will be good. Which picture(s) did I use of Tim and Mario to make my picture on the sticky back canvas? CLUE: IT IS ON HIS BLOG...SOMEWHERE! CCC #34 - Dimensional Collage Fragments P. 63

Hi Everyone,

Happy rainy Sunday to you all. Today my husband and I gave a bath and a haircut to Petey our Yorkie. We started this morning and we are still not done. I do not know how our regular lady does it I really do not. We use Aussie Pet Mobile because they come to our house. I don't want Petey being stuck in a kennel all day waiting. Aussie is great, they come in a van with everything needed to give baths, hair cuts...whatever you want done. They had to cancel the appointment and could not reschedule for TWO week. Way too long. Petey was in dire need so we decided to do it ourselves. We have him pretty well done except his front legs and paws. He HATES it. We decided to give him a nice long break. I worked on my CCC #34 tag. I have to tell you this is my absolute favorite tag. I just love it. On the tag itself I used the new Distress stains. LOVE them! I also used the new Tim Holtz stamp set Papillon. This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE stamp from Tim. I love all of them but this is my all time favorite. These are the only new products from Tim...so far:). Please let me know how you like it.

CCC #28 - Colorful Layered Fragments P. 57

Hello again,

Here is my tag for CCC #28. I followed the technique but added another step. I put on some bling for the eye and decide to add some Ranger Glossy accents over the top of the stamped side of the fragment. I than decided to lay some flowers and a bit more bling on top of that. I like that it looks 3 dimensional. I embossed Tim's tree and used the debossed side. On the background I used Ranger color wash. Please let me know what you think.

CCC #33 - Altered Metal Alcohol Inks P. 56

Hi Everyone,

I don't know about you but this weekend went way too fast for me. I need another day! Oh well, what can you do. Just finished off my CCC #33 tag and this one is way different for me. I honestly cannot decide if I like how it came out or not. It is very colorful and festive I think which is what I was going for so I guess that is a plus. I used metal tape from Home Depot and embossed it. I stamped Tim's saying on Ranger gloss paper and used two fragments to high light it. Also used inks to color in a few of the letters. Let me know what you think.

CCC #29 - Weathered Wood Grunge P. 50

Hi Everyone,

Another tag completed! I decided to do a door sign for my office/studio. I love how this turned out. Can you see where I did the weathered wood technique? It took me a few tries I admit and I also think maybe I should have done it again. For some reason I could not get a good emboss on my grunge paper. Anyway, please let me know what you think.

Hi Everyone,

Happy Sunday to you! Here is my tag #30 and one of my catch up tags. This was very easy. Oh sure I could explain it to you but Tim does it SO much better. Check out the book A Compendium of Curiosities p. 48. It is a great book. Please let me know what you think.

On to tag #29!

CCC #32 - Inking and Stamping Masks P. 59

Hi Everyone,

Happy Tuesday to you. I finished my CCC tag early..oh yes! Only 5 more to go to get caught up. Plan on getting caught up this week. Wish me luck:) This tag is actually going to be posted for two challenges this week. One of course of Linda's CC challenge and one for Simon Says Stamp and Show. I like how this tag turned out. I stamped a Tim Holtz collage stamp first off center and I made the mask from that a little bigger than the stamp so I could get a frame of sorts around the main image. Once I followed the technique completely I put the mask back on and outlined it with a white pen. Check out the book to see the technique. Let me know what you think.

Everything Wendy Vecchi Challenges

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to join in on the weekly challenges over at Everything Wendy Vecchi using her techniques from  her wonderful books (she has three right now and a fourth that was released at CHA in January) each week. I did the first two..yippee!!  The first one was late but I have managed to get the second one in on time.  Here they both are.
This is the first I created based on an ATC that Wendy created from her 1st book page 16.  We were to use a  butterfly.  I used Wendy's stamp sets Be Inspired...Make Art and Card Art Essentials and also Hero Arts butterfly stamp.  I stamped the butterfly on Wendy's Clearly Art and colored it with Tim Holtz alcohol inks. Just heated it up and fixed it how I wanted it AND IT STAYS!  I absolutely LOVE this stuff.  Now it is coming out in white and black. Cannot wait.  The scalloped border is from Wendy's Art Parts which I also LOVE. I used Stampin' Up pearls (these are FABULOUS) and you can order them here.  I used Tim Holtz color wash on the background along with Perfect Pearls Mist.  The flower was also done in color wash but I painted it on with a brush and used white ink on it also.  The words are from Wendy and I stamped them out and cut them a part inking them with distress ink.  I used a gel pen over Heart.

This is the 2nd challenge.   On this you were supposed to use a chipboard flower and Wendy's technique from here.  The chipboard flowers I have had forever but the stem is from Wendy's Art Parts.  I also used the stamp set Be Inspired...Make Art and Card Art Essentials.  I used the plaid background stamp for the technique but it is really hard to see.  I think maybe my white ink was not as juicy as it should have been. Also used Tim Holtz Distress Ink, stickles and  some misc ribbon I had in my stash.

Let me know  what you think.

Shirley

CCC #31 - Rusted Enamel Art P. 41

Hi Everyone,

What a month January was!  The first week was good but after that down hill I'm afraid.  We all had the flu...one after another along with migraines, colds and congestion. Everyone BUT my youngest daughter who has thankfully missed it all.  Don't ask me how.  Anyway that is all behind us now and after some very busy times at work I was able to create again.  I am SO behind!  Here is my tag #31.  I really liked this technique.  I actually did it three times. The first time with the stamping on top of the technique..this one turned out really grungy.  The 2nd time I decided to do it under the technique.  It turned out good but I really was not happy with the lack of rust.  So...I decided to try again with the stamping underneath and this time I was very happy with the results.  Here are all three.  Let me know what you think.

Calendar Holder

Hi Everyone,

Well I spent my Saturday finishing my "Art Parts" Calendar page holder.  Wendy Vecchi created these fabulous products that you can use to create absolutely anything your imagination can come up.  Books, use them on cards, scrapbook pages, wall hangings...I could go on.  I used the flowers, all the circles and tubes from the Sample Pack. I really like how it turned out.

I also used Stampin'Up! Pearls, Tim Holtz distress ink, Ranger Crackle Accents, Glossy Accents, Stickles, StazOn in white and black, one of Wendy's flower stamps and another stamp that I have which I am sorry I do not know who made it.  Also a clip and button from Tim.  Please take a look and let me know what you think.

CCC #25 - Scribble Stain Distress P. 34

Hello Everyone,

I started out the new year right...being creative and of course doing laundry.  Finished the laundry and my tag for Linda's Compendium of Curiosities challenge #25.  OK, I did this three times before I liked what I had.  It is not that this challenge is hard, it just took me three times to realize less is sometimes better when it comes to the scribble part.  Anyway, let me know what you think.
