Grungy Monday 33

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. It has been awhile since I have participated in Linda's Grungy Monday but I decided today was the day! OK, I actually started a few days ago.  My original goal was to create a charm bracelet using Tim's August Technique Challenge 2008.  It did not turn out as planned although I will be making a bracelet of those charms.  I think they turned out OK but not even close to what they should have looked like.

I decided to make a little sign for my desk instead.  It is not a perfect example of Tim's technique but I like it.  On Tim's example it is all white where he stamped and removed the ink.  On mine you can see a black outline around the white. I think it looks pretty cool this way also.  Please let me know what you think.

Before adding the white background I decided to stamp a few words using Wendy Vecchi's "Just Word Art" stamp set.

Happy Creating,
Shirley

Happy Birthday Tim Holtz take 2

Hello Everyone,

No I haven't sent off my birthday gift for Tim yet.  I was going to but I felt that it needed some more work and so.   I have had to put my foot down...it is done and will be going out on Tuesday.  What do you think?  Did I make it better?  Let me know, I love feedback.

Have you seen the previews for his Alterations?  Oh my gosh, I LOVE every single thing!  I'm in big trouble:)

Shirley

Happy Birthay Tim Holtz

Yesterday was Tim Holtz birthday, I did say Happy Birthday but I was running late with his "card". Linda has a Grungy Monday challenge to make Tim a card using some Tim products. This is my take on the card and everything on it is Tim products except for the canvas, crystals on the crown and the actual tag. I did not get this loaded in time for the challenge but you should check out all the wonderful art everyone did.  Let me know what you think. Happy Birthday Tim, I hope you like this.

Happy Creating,
Shirley
